EXPERIENCE
I have been providing a wide range of counseling services to adult clients since 1989. In addition, I have developed and presented a variety of wellness workshops, as well as authoring wellness articles for numerous local corporations and publications.
During my six years as a therapist in Employee Assistance, I also conducted supervisory trainings, assisted supervisors in the management of troubled emplees, and provided many employee orientation trainings. I have received formal training in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, and have conducted debriefing sessions for local businesses in the wake of on-site traumatic events, such as workplace accidents or incidents of violence.
I assisted in the development and implementation of an outpatient chemical dependency treatment program, and have also participated in all phases of the inpatient treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.
In my first career, I performed industrial engineering duties which involved the efficient organization of complex manufacturing procedures. I also acted as liaison between engineering, manufacturing, drafting and quality control departments. Oddly, this experience later proved to be somewhat compatible with my work in relationship counseling.
