Pet Memorial Sunday

Pet Memorial Sunday is an annual event, always on the second Sunday of each September.  Deb Chebatoris, the force behind Chartiers Custom Pet Cremation, has put together a wonderful, comforting, educational program for all who mourn the loss of an animal companion.

Guest speakers will cover the following topics:

Anyone is welcome to attend (no admission fee), but we do need to hear from you, as seating must be arranged and light refreshments will be provided.  The program will include an opportunity to pay tribute to pets you have loved and lost, and a dove-release to symbolize the difficult, but necessary, act of letting go.

You are welcome to submit "Words of Tribute,"  which may be a description of your fondest memory of your pet, or anything else you would like to say as a memoriam.  Please limit your tribute to 50 words or less; your words will be read aloud by Deb as part of the ceremony.  Please e-mail (not as an attachment) or mail your submission to Deb by September 12.

You are also welcome to bring a picture that can be set on a table or tacked on a bulletin board for sharing with others during the ceremony; you will be able to take the picture home with you afterwards.
